Andrew de Naray
Andrew was born and mostly raised in Colorado Springs, and has been
playing, writing, and recording for 15 years. When he first started, he
fell in love with two styles of guitar: the psychedelic rock of Jimi
Hendrix and the country blues of Robert Johnson.
Entering college at the time, he figured the Hendrix style was more likely
to attract girls than old blues music, so he initially went that route:
starting two psychedelic rock bands that both came in and went out with a
whimper, and yielding 2 bedroom-produced albums that you haven't heard.
Since the demise of his last group he's been reinventing himself by going
back to that initial fork in the road and learning country blues guitar.
He likes how it delivers a full and satisfying sound, requires only one
person to play it, and therefore only one ego to deal with.
